As I write on this blue-sky Monday in Grand Rapids, I see many reasons to feel blessed.

Just a few:
• The delicate jet stream of clouds gliding above downtown, bringing to mind a fleet and harmless dragon;
• The noontime runners jogging along the Grand River, while others flick their fishing poles toward the glinting current;
• The soaring bell tower of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, from which Mother Mary gazes placidly over the roaring vehicles below on U.S. 131;
• The stunning stained glass inside that same historic church, silently speaking stories of faith into the empty, half-darkened sanctuary. [Read more…]
