Christianity and Islam are closely related due to the chain of prophets they share as well as similarities in beliefs such as monotheism, love for Jesus, peace be upon him (pbuh), and great regard for Mary, the mother of Jesus.

At the same time, the two faiths differ in matters of details. For instance, Islam believes that Jesus (pbuh) was sent only as a prophet to guide people and that he was rescued by God before his crucifixion could take place.

Articles in this section clarify the Islamic position regarding Jesus (pbuh),  explore the similarities and differences between Christianity and Islam, and explain verses of the Bible which Muslims believe prophesize the coming of Muhammad, the final prophet of Islam (pbuh).
