And there is no creature on earth except that upon Allah is its provision [rizq], and He knows its place of dwelling and place of deposit. All are in a clear book (Q. 11: 6). The Prophet peace be upon him said that no soul will die until it gets all of the provision that has been apportioned for it (Ibn Hibban).
The Prophet peace be upon him also said: If you were to rely on Allah as He should be relied on, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds. They go out early in the morning hungry and return in the evening full (Tirmidhi). Birds leave in the morning with no idea about what they will find or where they will find it. They do their part and Allah sends food their way. People often worry and stress over their provision, but Allah is the only Provider. In the Qurʾān the name Al-Razzāq is only mentioned once, because no one can compete with Allah as the Provider. Do your part and He will provide for you like He does for the birds.
